What is it?

The community mending event that's changing the way we think about clothes

On Saturday 7 November 2026, councils across Western Australia will open their doors for a simultaneous, record-breaking mass-repair moment. People bring a garment that needs love - a button that's fallen off, a seam that's split, a favourite tee with a tear - and expert menders help them fix it on the spot.

No sewing experience needed. No judgement. Just the quiet joy of keeping something going a little longer.

  • Free to attend - just show up
  • All skill levels welcome (including zero)
  • Expert menders and repair volunteers on hand
  • 15+ council venues across Western Australia
  • Part of a global repair movement
